Time

Have you ever noticed how children old enough to understand a calendar and know the days of the week count days when awaiting a big event? They might say, my grandparents come in three days, or we go to the river in four days. I would include one day less. Here's why...

Today is Monday. Grandparents come Wednesday. They count today, tomorrow, and Wednesday. We go to the river Thursday. They count today, tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday.

I would say grandparents come in two days, counting the 24 hours from today to tomorrow and from tomorrow to Wednesday. I would say we go to the river in three days in the exact same manner.

Am I missing a day? Do I let time go too quickly? How can I treasure each day like they do?!
